"Recorded November 2019 to April 2020 during particularly introspective moments, 𝐺𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 presents a poignant crossroads for Ryan Martin's long-running Secret Boyfriend moniker. A transition to digital recording techniques, an exploration of icy bell-like timbres, a proclivity for durational compositional structures... All are a departure from Martin's previous output. We are presented with a razor-sharp clarity on 𝐺𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠, ready to 'slide' into despair or rapture.
