Liquid Pane is a split release between NYC-based artists Morgan Garrett and Sunk Heaven, and serves as a followup to the latter's 2018 Where All Sides Collapse lp on Hot Releases. Both sides have a complimentary ambience, with MG bringing a more freeform style of junkyard rattling and drone - broken beats, weeping fax machine, cop knocks, clashing AM radio signals, general imploding industrial malaise. Sunk Heaven is the human making sense of the pieces, reflecting and singing to you from the wreckage & rebuilding, with skittering percussion, anxious insectoid electronic noise, machines powering on and off, waves of melody arriving and receding, all within cracked and emotive songforms.
